Abstract
This paper is concerned with the concept of e-learning, its state and availability at university of Lagos, Nigeria. E-learning has become a new paradigm in education with a mission to serve as a platform knowledge base society. The two key concepts are e-learning and Information Communication Technology (ICT) support. The paper examines the 2005 -2009 strategic ICT policy of university of Lagos and how this has affected e-learning in the university community. It outlines the challenges faced in fully implementation it the university.
