Abstract
Open and Distance Education which aims at providing access to education,especially at the tertiary level, to learners everywhere at their own pace is growingrapidly all over the world and Nigeria has not been left behind. As it grows, theOpen/Distance Education movement has revealed both benefits and challenges.This paper explores the major benefits and challenges facing the Open/DistanceEducation movement in Nigeria.
